Short film, BBC, 2011

Project description

I wrote this short film for Director Sue Dunderdale and the Actors Centre in 2010 whilst living in the UK. The Heights is a celebration of solidarity amongst the tenants of a housing estate in Leeds. Leeds is the city in the North of England where I grew up. Is it a co-incidence that the now famed Australian TV series ‘The Heights’ also began with a central storyline about a young mother who hides her first born form the authoritarian housing commission?
